Tall Firs Productions (formerly known as Samudre Media) is a Seattle-based media production company offering video production, animation, photography, graphic design, social media marketing, and more.
Our video services help people tell a story and engage an audience through visual storytelling. Our goal is helping whoever needs photography or graphic design capture the story they want to tell in a single image. We also offer social media marketing and consulting, as well as helping artists set up beautiful websites to help further their personal brand online. We work with authors, musicians, local business and non-profits organizations, families, individuals to help share their story.
Our clients have included authors Alexander Chee, Peter Mountford, Anca Szilágyi, Ross McMeekin, Nicole Hardy, as well as organizations like Hugo House, Seattle Arts & Lectures, Hedgebrook, Seattle City of Literature, and more.

Who We Are
Vasant and Sarah Salcedo are a filmmaking and writing partnership located in Seattle, WA. Together they own Tall Firs Productions (formerly known as Samudre Media) and produce, direct, write, and animate quality films and videos; design graphics and websites; copy write; photograph authors and artist; and train authors in social media and others aspects of digital publicity.
Vasant has more than a decade of experience in video production and has traveled the world extensively, filming mini-documentaries for non-profit organizations. Sarah is a an author, illustrator, and was formerly marketing director of Hugo House, a literary center in Seattle, WA, before leaving to launch Tall Firs Productions as well as produce and direct their feature film full-time. Both have dual degrees in English Literature and Comparative Literature: Cinema Studies from University of Washington.
Currently, their award-winning documentary, Promised Land (produced through their film company, Tall Firs Cinema) debuted fall 2016 in festivals and select theaters. The film was sponsored by 4Culture, Artist Trust, and San Francisco Film Society.
